Family With Pregnant Mom Kicked off Flight Over Mask Spat
A pregnant mom was threatened by a flight attendant of Spirit Airlines that her family will be kicked off a plane in Florida on Monday since her two-year-old daughter was not wearing a mask.
All passengers were initially forced to get off the aircraft before the management later decided to get them back on the plane with a flight from Orlando to Atlantic City.
According to New York Post, the flight attendant told the Jewish family that they needed to exit the plane for not complying with the mask rules, and this was seen in video footage posted on social media.
The footage also showed a toddler sitting on the lap of her pregnant mom while eating yogurt. And a father, who pulled his mask down to speak with the flight attendant.
The father afterward pulled up his face mask to show compliance. However, the flight attendant emphasized that the two-year-old was still not wearing a mask.

The pregnant mom reacted incredulously to the flight attendant, as she cannot believe that it will be that strict even for a two-year-old kid. Even a woman seated next to the family pointed out that there are a lot of kids who are not wearing masks.
The father argued that not all the time he wears his mask, but he was not being reminded.
A man, who was filming the commotion, can be heard assuring the flight attendant that he will make sure that the father will wear his mask and everything will be fine.
While the pregnant mom continued to argue that it was just a two-year-old child who was not wearing a mask, the flight attendant repeated that it was not her choice and they have to take their stuff and get off the plane. She also continuously insisted that non-compliance with the mask policy should be imposed.
Despite the pregnant mom's plea that the baby just turned two years old a month ago, and she was trying to wear the mask, the flight attendant refused to negotiate.
The flight attendant said they were done talking and that the pilot wanted them to get off the plane. She even threatened to call the police before walking away from the family, The Sun reported.
On different footage, all passengers of the flight can be seen packing up their stuff while the father talks to someone, telling the captain was fine with the non-compliance, and the entire plane was okay with it, except for the one African American.
He also stressed that his wife was pregnant, his daughter just turned two, and his son, who was sitting close to him, has special needs with a history of seizures.
The Spirit Airlines' Response
Before the cops arrived at the scene, Spirit Airlines resolved the issue, and a representative of the company clarified that it was the parents who broke the airline's face covering policy. However, their violation was not caught on camera.
The representative added that a warning was given, and they were allowed to re-board on the plane to proceed to their destination, Business Insider reported.
There was also an issue that the cops also escorted one of the male crew of the airline company, but the representative cleared that it was just a crew change.
