After falling ill earlier this year, Juan Gabriel is almost back in fighting form.

The singer is now resting up in his home in Cancun, according to his publicist, and is feeling marvelous. He'll be touring again in no time, as his official return has been announced as Sept. 5 in Miami.

"The tour will continue in Newark, San Jose, Los Angeles, Denver and Oakland, where fans will be able to witness the extraordinary show that has been very well received," according to a press release.

Juan Gabriel was hospitalized in Las Vegas after performing in the city. He returned to Mexico to recover from his bout of pneumonia.

He has recuperated fairly quickly, so those close to him wouldn't be surprised if he decides to get back to touring even sooner than September, TV y Novelas noted. One of the most obvious things about this period of his life is that Juan Gabriel has been itching to get back on the stage. On social media, he has said that he lets his music speak for him.

One of the last updates on the singer's health came from an Instagram picture shared by actor Diego Boneta.

A lot of conflicting things were reported about the singer, such as saying that he had cancer.

"He really believes in natural medicine," the source said. "He has great faith in it. Every time that the media speculates on his conditions, his office by order of his son Ivan sends press releases to avoid alarming his fans."

Another source said that he was the opposite of that and that he was taking his recovery very seriously.

Juan Gabriel has continued to fight rumors through this difficult time, but it seems he'll move past them in no time.
