'Friends' Reunion Unveils First Teaser Trailer and Premiere Date at HBO Max
The much-awaited "Friends" reunion is finally coming this month, with the original six characters hitting the screen again, together with several celebrity guests.
The reunion of the cast of the iconic NBC comedy series, "Friends," will be aired on HBO Max on May 27. In addition to the main cast members, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schimmer, and Matthew Perry, "Friends: The Reunion" will also feature guest appearances by Justin Bieber, Reese Witherspoon, Malala Yousafzai, David Beckham, international Korean boy group BTS, and Lady Gaga, among others, The Guardian reported.
HBO Max said that Tom Selleck, who played Monica Geller's former boyfriend Richard, and Maggie Wheeler, known for her character Janice, will also appear on the show. "Game of Thrones" actor Kit Harington is also among celebrity guests who would make cameo appearances.
The Friends reunion trailer was released on social media with the six original cast members walking arm-in-arm across the Warner Bros. Studio lot.
A caption described the Friends reunion special as "The One Where We Get to See Our Favorites Back Together Again." It was accompanied by the show's theme song, "I'll Be There for You," by The Rembrandts.

Friends: The Reunion at HBO Max
Courtney Cox or Monica Geller of the show said that this kind of thing does not happen every year or even 10 or 15 years. Cox added that she feels blessed to have a chance to be reunited with her friends.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Friends' cast returned to the original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot for a real-life unscripted celebration of the beloved show.
Ben Winston directed the Friends reunion special and executive produced with Friends executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane.
Rumors of the Friends reunion started going around in November 2019. The Friends reunion special was reported to initially air in May 2020. However, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BBC News reported.
Jennifer Aniston shared the trailer on Instagram on Thursday, with a caption, "It's official! The #FriendsReunion premieres May 27th on @HBOMax - could we BE any more excited?!"

"Friends' first aired on NBC in 1994. It closed its final episode in 2004. The show has become a popular American television sitcom.
It has won six Emmy Awards, which includes the outstanding comedy series, according to Britannica. In its eight-season, it has earned the number one top spot.
The sitcom revolves around the characters' individual and collective experiences - from commitment, relationships, and friendships.
Monica Geller is a chef who often changes jobs and boyfriends, while her brother Ross is a paleontologist. Ross was known to be the recipient of jokes about his earlier marriage to Carol, who was a lesbian.
Rachel Green was Monica's high-school friend and has always been a crush of Ross. She initially started working as a waitress at Central Perk and eventually landing a job with Ralph Lauren.
Phoebe Buffay is a masseuse and known to be the one among the group to have a quirky personality. Joey Tribbiani started as a struggling actor until he landed a role in the "Days of Our Lives" as Dr. Drake Ramoray.
The group is completed with Chandler Bing, who has an unlucky touch when it comes to women. He then later developed feelings for Monica, and eventually, they became a couple.
