The X-Factor U.K. Cast and Premiere Rumors: Judges Simon Cowell and Mel B Get Into Fight
The new season of "The X Factor" U.K. has just started filming, and already there is drama behind the scenes amongst the judges.
Independent News reported that since his creation of "The X Factor USA" show, Simon Cowell's original "The X Factor UK" has taken a serious hit with a significant drop in ratings.
In an attempt to revive the show, Cowell reportedly hired Spice Girl member Mel B to stir up some drama and controversy on the show with fellow "X Factor" judge Cheryl Cole. But despite his efforts, Mel B isn't abiding by his demands to have her portrayed as the nasty judge. So naturally, the opposing views have caused a rift between Cowell and Mel B.
A source from The Mirror reported, "He [Simon] isn't happy at all. He had hoped that viewers would flock to watch the bust-ups between the two women judges."
The source also added that Cheryl Cole is even teaming up with Mel B to make sure that Cowell's plan to pit the two against each other does not happen.
"For both Cheryl and Mel, this is a job. They both want to find good acts, and neither wants to get into any rows."
Neither of them wants to be portrayed as a b***. Just because they are young, attractive women working together doesn't mean that they have to hate each other," the source said. "They are going to make sure this doesn't happen."
So how will Mel B portray herself on the show this upcoming season? Well, apparently Mel wants to portray herself as the female Simon Cowell.
The source said, "Mel wants to be a grown up judge, a bit of a female version of Simon. She wants to find some good talent. If someone isn't good enough, then she will tell them. But she is determined to stay positive with her feedback."
Hopefully Mel B and Cheryl Cole get their wish.
