Karate Kid III Star Will Be Back as Terry Silver in Cobra Kai Season 4
Netflix's Cobra Kai will be bringing back Karate Kid III villain Terry Silver for Season 4. The video streaming platform had announced the development on Thursday.
Executive producers/writers Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg said they had been planning to star Cobra Kai dojo co-founder Terry Silver into the universe.
They added that they cannot wait for the whole world to experience Thomas Ian Griffith's return to the franchise, according to a Deadline report.
There were hints of Silver's return in the Season 3 finale, with flashbacks revealing John Kreese saving Silver's life while they were in prison during the Vietnam war.
There were also hints with Kreese later seen staring at a photo of Silver as he talked on the phone with an old friend.
Season 4 had recently finished its production. However, the air date for the season has yet to be announced.

Terry Silver
Terry Silver is considered the secondary antagonist in the Karate Kid franchise. He was an acquaintance of Kreese during their military days.
Silver and Kreese have placed a heavy emphasis on karate as a deadly art, adding that it could only be practiced by the fiercest, bravest, and most honorable students.
Thomas Ian Griffith debuted his acting days with his Terry Silver role in The Karate Kid franchise.
During the mysterious new video, which teased Griffith's return, the actor's silhouette was shown as he said that "Man can't stand, he can't fight."
The clip had ended with a line popping on the screen reading that the real pain begins now, according to a People report.
Cobra Kai Series
Cobra Kai premiered its first season on YouTube in May 2018, with the show returning for Season 2 in April 2019, according to a CBR report.
With the rising success of the first two seasons, YouTube ordered a third. However, YouTube then agreed to release the series to Sony Pictures Television at the production company's request.
The movement was done after YouTube had informed Sony that it will not be ordering a fourth season.
Sony took Cobra Kai to Netflix, with Season 3 premiering on the platform in January this year.
Actor Ralph Macchio earlier said how fans from different generations have been able to enjoy the Karate Kid universe, even through Cobra Kai.
He added that kids and even grandparents are sharing the same excitement over the franchise.
The premise takes place decades after their first face-off in the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. Karate Kids characters Daniel and Johnny Lawrence are once again martial-arts rivals, showing both of them now middle-aged.
Season 4 has no definite release date as of yet. However, it is expected to arrive sometime between October 1 and December 31 this year.
Cobra Kai's cast is William Zabka Ralph Macchio, Courtney Henggeler, Martin Kove, Vanessa Rubio, and Xolo Maridueña, among others.
