Apple Unveils iOS 15: Here's What's New
Tech mogul Apple has presented a preview of iOS 15 on Monday, June 7, during an online keynote for Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which is the company's annual developer conference.
According to a CNET report, iOS 15 is the next major version of the iPhone's operating system after last year's iOS 14. It is set to be publicly introduced this fall and likely to debut on the rumored iPhone 13.
The new software development highlights staying connected and finding focus, using intelligence, and exploring the world.
Some of the new key features include changes in FaceTime, notifications, photos app, added privacy features, Safari features, and new Weather and Notes app, among others, according to an India Times report.

iOS 15 Key Features
FaceTime on iPhone will be getting Spatial Audio support for a better audio experience. There will also be a new Grid view for videos.
Apple will also be allowing Android and Windows users to join FaceTime calls from the web for the first time since it introduced its FaceTime feature. There will also be a new feature in FaceTime called SharePlay, wherein users can share content during their calls.
The tech giant had also revealed an update for its Apple wallet, wherein users will be able to use their iPhone as identification at U.S. airports. iPhone users will be able to scan their driver's license or any other approved state ID into their Apple Wallet, Daily Mail reported.
The ID will be encrypted and stored in the same secure element as users' credit cards and airline passes.
Apple said that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is working to enable airport security checkpoints as the first place customers can use their digital ID in Apple Wallet.
Aside from boarding passes and other IDs, hotel key cards are also in the works for Apple Wallet. The tech mogul is currently working with Hyatt and other major chains to support the said feature.
Meanwhile, Safari will also be getting a new design that makes controls easier to reach with one hand puts content front and center.
The Weather app will be having more graphical displays of weather data and full-screen maps based on conditions, while the Notes app will add user-created tags that make it easier to categorize notes quickly.
iOS 15 will also include an updated Lock Screen, plus new security and notification features, according to The Sun report.
Apple was reported to be planning a new feature that will allow users to set different notification preferences based on users' preferences, allowing them to select if they are driving, working, sleeping, or other custom categories of their own.
Other Releases of Apple
Apple is also being rumored to release new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops. It was also earlier reported that fans will be getting the first sneak peek of the next update to the iPadOS operating systems that run on Apple's tablets line during the online-only event.
iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are also rumored to be released with storage of up to 1TB and also add LiDAR sensors to every new iPhone model for the first time, Forbes reported.
