With their season on the line, the Milwaukee Bucks pulled off a victory in must-win Game 6 at home against the Brooklyn Nets, 104-89, dodging a possible elimination and forcing a Game 7 for a spot at the Eastern Conference Finals.

Forcing Another Conference Finals Shot

Their percentage from 3-point range, every statistic, even the margin of victory, all of it did not matter for the Bucks as their only goal is to secure a win at home and extend their playoff run to the Finals. What mattered for them is to face the Nets on a do-or-die Game 7 of the semifinal series.

According to USA Today, the Bucks Duo, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Khris Middleton came up big in the possible elimination game. The Bucks star Antetokounmpo posted 30 points with 17 big rebounds. He also did not take a single shot beyond the arc, which is a shot that the Nets gave him in the previous games because of a low 3-point percentage.

The 'Greek Freak' scored 22 of his points at the rim. He was also better at the line in Game 6, shooting 6-for-10, his free throw percentage is the complete opposite of his disastrous free throw shooting in the series.

Moreover, Middleton made his playoff career-high on a must-win Game 6. Middle dropped 38 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals, doing damage on both ends of the floor. He was also efficient all night long, making 11 of his 16 shots, which includes 5 of 8 beyond the arc.

His 3-point shots helped the Bucks to overcome a 21.2% 3-point shooting night for the Bucks in securing the victory, ESPN reported. Bucks' guard, Jrue Holiday also added 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals, to join Antetokounmpo and Middleton as the only Bucks with double-digit scoring production.

Legendary Game 7

Meanwhile, Game 7 will be on Saturday in Brooklyn (8:30 p.m. ET, TNT). The team from New York has not played in Game 7 since 2014. While the Bucks had a seven-game series against the Boston Celtics in 2018, but they lost to that series.

Game 7 road winners are not common in NBA, but there is still a chance for the road team depending on the momentum of the series just like in the series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 Finals. Despite losing the first two games of the series, the Cavs bounced back to win on the road in the 2016 NBA Finals.

Both teams relied on their starters, with all 10 of them playing at least 30 minutes in the series. Milwaukee's bench had just four points, while Brooklyn had 15 in Game 6. But it is more concerning for the Brooklyn Nets for their star Kevin Durant has already played heavy minutes throughout the series.

Durant's playing got heavy due to the injuries suffered by his co-stars Kyrie Irving and James Harden in the series. The Game 7 winner will be facing the winner of the series between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Atlanta Hawks starting next week.
