The powerful lineups change after some massive trade-offs, including Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, as well as Russell Westbrook. On the other hand, it seems like Boston Celtics is trying to level up its game after announcing that Damon Stoudamire is joining the team as an assistant coach.
"Pacific head coach and former NBA point guard Damon Stoudamire will be joining new Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka's staff as an assistant, source told @Stadium. They grew up together in Portland," confirmed Jeff Goodman via his official Twitter post.
The Stadium reporter's post generated more than 300 quote tweets, 4,800 likes, and 900 retweets.
Some of the fans in the comment section said that Boston Celtics made a good decision securing Stoudamire since he can help shape the current point guards in the team.
How Good Is Boston Celtic's New Assistant Coach?

Aside from this, Boston Celtics were able to secure him since the team's current head coach, Ime Udoka, has a few connections to Stoudamire. One of these is growing up together in the Portland area.
On the other hand, both of them also played for the San Antonio Spurs way back in 2008. At first, Stoudamire was able to join the NBA champion in 2008, Boston Celtics. However, the team decided to add Sam Cassell, leaving him no choice but to accept San Antonio Spurs' invitation.
Aside from Stoudamire, Celtics is also looking to hire the assistant coach of Spurs, Will Hardy. He also worked with Udoka in San Antonio Spurs. Meanwhile, Jay Larranaga and Jamie Young, the two longtime assistant coaches of Brad Stevens, will not return until the next NBA Season.
This simply means Boston Celtics fans could see a whole new lineup of the coaching staff this coming fall as the team transitions from Stevens to Udoka.
Will Boston Celtics Retain Evan Fournier?
Celtics Blog reported that Evan Fournier is now a free agent. This means that the player can either stay in Boston Celtics or go to a new team. On the other hand, some rumors claimed that he is currently uncertain if he will retain his position as one of the Boston Celtics' shooting guards.
Although he said that he had a great time with the team, it seems like his shooting efficiency has decreased after he got COVID-19. However, it is still better to wait for the player's announcement before making any conclusion.
