Brazil will be playing without Gabriel Jesus for the weekend game after a dangerous kick on Eugenio Mena, Give Me Sport reported. Jesus apologized for the foul after the game and said that the challenge was accidental.
Jesus will not be allowed to play as CONMEBOL announced he is suspended for the final. Jesus and the team cannot appeal to CONMEBOL's decision.
The decision prompted a reaction for Neymar, saying that it is very sad to be in the hands of people who make these kinds of decisions. Neymar left a sarcastic comment, saying that they made a beautiful analysis of the game and that they must congratulate CONMEBOL.
Aside from his suspension, Jesus was also given a $5,000 fine. He also reacted negatively regarding his ban with an Instagram story.
Jesus wrote on his social media post that CONMEBOL did not see what happened right. The Copa America final will start on July 10 at 8 p.m. E.T.
