FIFA 15 Release Date, PS4, Xbox 360 & PS3 Rumors: Legends Ultimate Edition Might be Exclusive to Xbox One, Players Get Emotions
The football game coming to next-gen consoles will be both more beautiful and emotional with the release of FIFA 15 having been announced in the recently concluded annual E3 gaming conference.
EA Sports revealed its upcoming installment of the football video game which will have the tagline of "Feel the Game." Although the gameplay will not be very different from its predecessor, the next edition of the franchise will offer more emotion via the gameplay. Furthermore, FIFA 15 will have overhauled visuals as well as a revamped team intelligence, exploiting the massive processing capabilities of next-generation consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One, according to Digital Spy.
With the gameplay not differing significantly from the earlier versions of FIFA, EA still promises an entirely unique experience by allowing the players to feel the wide range of emotions that take place throughout a game, just as the tagline suggests.
All of the 22 players on the field will now show emotions for the first time ever, ranging from being calm to upset and aggressive, depending on the stakes of the match and the situation of the players. For example, end-of-season league battles and cup finals will make them feel more tense. Repeat battles between any two opposing players will result in more aggression and tension between them on the field, and multiple missed opportunities by a striker will make both him and his teammates visibly frustrated. Producer Nick Channon clarified that while this is a very new feature, the gameplay itself will not be changed dramatically.
The visual upgrade hopes to get players to buy into the emotional state of the team, which would ultimately affect the way they play and how they feel about the game itself.
Introducing this kind of feeling into the game also makes the overall experience more realistic, comparable to a live football match where late-game decisions and plays are very different when compared with how the players move around earlier in the game.
FIFA 15 will be available on current and next-gen consoles as well as on PC later this year, with rumors about the Ultimate Edition being Xbox exclusive.
