Destiny's Child Reunion: Michelle Williams' New Music Video 'Say Yes' Brings Group Back Together [Watch]
Destiny's Child happily reunites in Michelle Williams' new music video for "Say Yes," off her upcoming fourth studio album "Journey to Freedom."
The powerful visual opens up with Williams dancing in the street, singing: "When Jesus say yes, nobody can say no." Beyoncé then joins her, looking flawless as usual in an elegant white dress. Kelly Rowland expectedly comes in and belts out her lyrics, "Say yes." The beautiful trio soon unites to perform a traditional African-inspired dance, surrounded by crowds of fans and musicians.
During her live appearance on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, June 17, Williams expressed her excitement about the reunion with her former group members. "Working together with Destiny's Child again was amazing," she said. "Sometimes the director or production assistants had to say like, 'Ok, girls, bring it back home. Bring it back together,' because when we were together, we go back to how we were when we were younger, just always laughing and talking about things."
"It's Destiny's Child time again!" Beyoncé also exclaimed in the behind-the-scenes video of the making the visual. "I'm so excited that I have my sisters here with me spreading a positive message for the world," said Williams. The "Drunk in Love" hitmaker added: "This song is so inspiring, and there's not enough music out there like this, and I'm proud to be a part of it" -- which Rowland certainly agreed, saying, "It's so infectious, and I think the world needs to hear it."
Michelle Williams previously took to her Twitter account to announce the release date of her forthcoming project, which will come out on Sept. 9. "So excited to announce that my fourth solo studio album will hit stores on 9/9!!" she wrote.
