Texas Couple Creates ‘Cowboy Jack’ YouTube Channel That Features State-Based Educational Videos for Kids
After searching the internet for videos to entertain their three-year-old son, a Texas couple started making videos all around the state for their son because they were not impressed with the content that they have discovered online. This has sparked the idea for "Cowboy Jack" YouTube channel.
According to KLTV, the search sparked John Havard to jump on the idea of a YouTube channel called "Cowboy Jack." The creator of "Cowboy Jack" sensed that there's a need for more hands-on content for children across the state of Texas.
John Havard shared that when he searched online for content, he found out that there's a lot of unnecessary content on the internet that he would not want his son to watch.
Despite not finding the desired learning material, John Havard noted that they still searched and searched as a couple, but they couldn't find anything.
Out of frustration, Havard grabbed a camera and went down to the pond in their neighborhood. He said that: "I'm a big goofball anyway, so we said, 'Let's just have fun with it and see how it goes."
Havard's wife acted as the camerawoman while he stood in front of the screen and played the main character in the show. Viewers noted that the show "Cowboy Jack" was different from other kid's shows.
They emphasized the uniqueness of the YouTube channel show because it takes children on educational field trips throughout the state of Texas in every video.
In addition, John Havard noted that he and his wife were fifth-generation Texans. He stated that they were not going anywhere and would love to stay at the state, and they felt that the state had great things to offer not only to adults like them but especially to their children.
John Havard said about his YouTube channel: "Why not use this platform to showcase some of those great things and get kids excited about where they live."

Expansion of 'Cowboy Jack' on YouTube
The YouTube channel, created by John Havard only by accident, now creates learning material and field trips wherein kids could learn new things while only watching online.
The Cowboy Jack creator originally had no intention of putting the videos on his YouTube channel, but the encouragement of family and friends made the success possible.
The channel currently has 50,000 views and 2,000 subscribers in just a span of three months since it has posted its first video. John Havard noted that it was very important to encourage other parents to let their kids learn through play.
The content creator said once you were not talking down to a kid, you were not forcing knowledge on them. He added that you were just making them get excited about the subject as a parent because they're interacting with it.
The Havards hoped to continue and expand to more areas in Texas within the next year.
