Sebastián Rulli & 'Lo Que La Vida Me Robó' 2014: Star Opens Up About Fatherhood, Says Son Wants to Be an Actor
Sebastián Rulli is his son's biggest fan.
The father and star of "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" consistently shares pictures and updates about his son. In a recent interview on the show "Televisa Espectáculos," the actor opened up about how he balances fatherhood and a successful career.
He shares custody of his son with ex-wife Cecilia Galliano.
"Of course, I miss him," he said. "But that love and care is there even when he's not nearby. There's always the telephone. Obviously, it's not easy talking to a child through the phone, but we deal with it."
Rulli does spend certain weekends with his son, Santiago. They wear matching shirts, and Rulli typically documents their shared moments. On Father's Day, he posted a simple picture of his son's hand and expressed how much happiness being a father brings him.
"The important thing is that when I'm with him, I'm there 100 percent," he said. "And in the future, the moment will come where we can chat, give explanations and understand each other."
Although his son is still very young, Santiago is attracted to the acting world.
His son accompanies him on set and has really taken to the craft.
"Now he says that when he's older he wants to work with me," he said. "He likes it, and also he respects the recording aspect of it. When he has to be quiet, he does it. He just stays there seated and observes everything calmly."
Unlike other parents in the acting industry, Rulli says he fully supports his son getting into the business.
"In this life, everything is a question of sacrifice and effort, so whatever he chooses will be fully supported by me and surely his mom," he said. "But the important thing is that he earns it through his own efforts."
