Any "Orange Is the New Black" fan will tell you that in addition to crime and prison drama, there's a lot of love and love-making on the hit Netflix dramedy.

But some "OITNB" fans might be surprised to learn that "OITNB" actress Yael Stone, often seen doing the horizontal mambo with inmate Nicky Nichols in Season 1, experienced sex on camera before she experienced it in real life.

During an interview with HuffPost Live, Stone said she was a virgin when she filmed her first sex scene at age 15.

Stone's first sexual experience was for 2001 miniseries "The Farm," the New York Daily News reported. Stone explained that to prepare herself for the intimate scene, she used her imagination and did a lot of making out prior to filming.

"A lot of times we create roles and there are experiences we haven't had, but we have to imagine it. I happened to do that as a young 15-year-old person," Stone told HuffPost Live.

Now that Stone has gotten her younger awkward sex scenes out of the way, it's safe to say she's a lot more comfortable filming sex scenes. In fact, Stone described the sex scenes she films on "Orange Is the New Black" as a "privilege."

"The sex scenes are also a privilege, and we have to see it that way," she said. "'If it's written by great people -- these people that write the show are really smart; we can trust them -- I do feel like those scenes are really necessary. It's a big part of [prison] life.

"To be able to go into those private moments, authentic with that ... that's what I'm interested in," she said. "We are very much people. We are very much women -- real women."
