George Clooney Engaged to Fiancée Amal Alamuddin: Actor and International Lawyer to Tie Knot in Italy With Best Man Brad Pitt
It is finally time for George Clooney to get remarried. In September, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin will tie the knot. A close relative of Clooney's divulged wedding details, including location and best man.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Clooney's Aunt Starla said she believes Clooney will have Brad Pitt as best man. Starla is justified in her belief, as Clooney and Pitt are longtime friends, making Pitt a suitable best man for her nephew. "I would say he'd choose Brad Pitt for his best man," Starla said. "They are good friends. I would think that's who he'd choose."
Starla also said the exact wedding location is not known. She had heard it would be in Cincinnati, but that rumor was false. She hinted that the wedding might be in Italy when she said, "I do know that Nick and Nina [Clooney's parents] are planning a trip over to Italy in the next week or so to, I guess, scope out some stuff."
This revelation seems plausible because Clooney owns a home on Lake Como, Italy.
Alamuddin is a lawyer at London's Doughty Street Chambers law firm. She is an adviser to Kofi Annan, who was U.N. secretary-general. She was also Julian Assange's defense attorney.
Your Barrister Boyfriend named her hottest barrister in London last year. Clooney, voted sexiest man alive most recently in 2006, vowed not to get married again after his marriage to Talia Balsam lasted only four years (1989-1993). He later called himself an awful husband.
Clooney dated several women after that, including Elisabetta Canalis (an Italian actress), Lisa Snowdon (a model) and Stacy Keibler (an actress and wrestler). These relationships did not last long, however.
Now Alamuddin has changed Clooney's thinking about marriage, and the most suitable and qualified man in showbiz has finally decided to tie the knot (again) this year.
