Pres. Joe Biden Smirks, Picks Teeth After Reporter Asks if He 'Underestimated' Russia's President Vladimir Putin
President Joe Biden hit Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy with a dose of sarcasm after he loudly asked the president if he underestimated Russia's President Vladimir Putin.
Biden just sat in silence, smirked, and picked his teeth after being asked if he underestimated Putin during Tuesday afternoon's minerals event with Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and climate adviser Gina McCarthy.
The president then said: "The thing I love about the press is they're always on message." He also quipped to those participating virtually, including California Governor Gavin Newsom: "Did you underestimate Putin?," Daily Mail reported.
Last month, the president has called the Fox News reporter "a stupid son of b****" on a live microphone after Doocy asked if the nation's soaring inflation was a political liability for him.
At the time, Biden was complaining that the press questions were about Russia's buildup of military forces near Ukraine's border.
Doocy then shouted his question, asking if the president would take a question about inflation and if he thought that inflation was a political liability ahead of the midterms.
Biden responded in a sarcastic manner, thinking that his microphone was off. The president replied: "No, that's a great asset. More inflation," CNBC News reported.
After the sarcastic remark, he added, "What a stupid son of b****." Doocy said people had to actually tell him what the president said as he could not hear anything over the shouting of the wranglers.
The Fox News reporter noted that Biden later called him to apologize for the remark. According to reports, Biden has a long record of swearing on live microphones.
In 2010, the president was caught cursing during the celebration of the passage of the Affordable Care Act with former President Barack Obama.

Joe Biden on Russia's Ukraine Invasion
Joe Biden announced on Tuesday sanctions on major Russian bank VEB and its military bank, including the country's sovereign debt and three individuals.
The bank sanctions will prevent American financial institutions from processing transactions for VEB and Russia's military bank, PSB.
According to CNBC News, it would effectively cut the banks out of transactions involving U.S. dollars, which is the global reserve currency.
Biden also announced that the U.S. would impose sanctions on Russia's sovereign debt. The president said they have cut off Russia's government from Western financing.
The Biden administration had also imposed sanctions on the two sons of high-ranking Russian government officials.
Biden noted that the adult children members of Vladimir Putin's inner circle also benefitted from the corrupt gains of the Kremlin's policies, so "they ought to share in the pain as well."
Russia has repeatedly claimed that they were not planning to attack Ukraine. However, Russia has stationed more than 190,000 troops near Ukraine's border and demanded that Western powers exclude Ukraine from joining the NATO alliance and other concessions.
