Luis Miguel fans in the United States will be happy to know that the singer is touring America.
The singer will be in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Oakland and San Diego later this year. Luis Miguel said you can count on having mariachi, boleros, as well as stunning scenery, according to Ideal.
The first phase of his "Sol de Mexico" tour will begin his tour on Sept. 17 in Phoenix. He will be in San Diego on Sept. 18, Los Angeles on Sept. 19 and 20, and his last date will be in Oakland on Sept. 21. Tickets will be available this Friday, June 27 and can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
The tour will be produced by the Spanish Broadcasting System Inc. in collaboration with Live Nation, according to Luis Miguel's website.
"SBS Entertainment in partnership with Live Nation is pleased to produce the tour of an artist that has so much global significance, as Luis Miguel has," said Lucas Pina, senior vice president of SBS Entertainment. "This tour advances our strategic plan to present the best concerts of the most renowned Latino artists."
The tour lines up with Mexican Independence Day, which is celebrated on Sept. 16. The Grito de Dolores, which happened in the small town of Dolores, marks the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence. The grito, or shout, was the pronouncement of war by Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla.
In Los Angeles, The Forum will be transformed into a theater for two nights. About 6,000 people will be able to get closer than ever before to Luis Miguel as he sings his biggest hits.
Luis Miguel started his professional career in 1982, and three years later, he won his first Grammy. And he continued to break records on Latino radio after that. He remained No. 1 on many charts for about seven months. He was also the first Latino to sell out at Madison Square Garden.
