Apple doesn't want hackers to jailbreak iOS devices. They've tried to release updates and increase the security to prevent jailbreakers.

Each time Apple updates the operating systems, hackers must scramble to release a new jailbreak update. The most recent jailbreak update was for iOS 7.1.1

So, with the the release of the next operating system iOS 8, Apple is trying to convince as many users as possible to stick with the system defaults and to not jailbreak their devices.

Many of the features in iOS 8 will make jailbreaking unnecessary. QuickReply, a new feature to be revealed in iOS 8, will making typing easier and eliminate the need for jailbreaking tweaks like Couria and Auki.

Even Siri will be improved. She'll always be available for your usage. You won't have to hold down the home button, and you won't need the OkSiri tweak.

Annoying password prompts will be replaced with the fingerprint sensor Touch ID API so that will eliminate auto-fill and password storing tweaks on jailbroken devices.

There will be tons of new updates for iOS 8, but jailbreaking won't stop completely. There's still going to be things you can't do (or that Apple doesn't want you to do) without jailbreaking your device, like running video game emulators of classic video games.

According to an iOS 8 jailbreaking website, "Soon after the release of iOS 7.1 firmware, Jailbreakers started working on developing iOS 8 Jailbreak. We are expecting an iOS 8 BootROM Jailbreak from Team Evad3rs who are the creators of Evasi0n 7 Jailbreak too. ... Cydia for iOS 8 is going rigorous testing and performance enhancements for ease of installation and use for the end user."

Clearly, hackers will continue jailbreaking. We'll see if casual iOS device users keep jailbreaking as well.

What do you think? Will you still jailbreak your device when iOS 8 is released? Leave a comment in the comments section below.
