Floyd Mayweather has announced that he is willing to pay any NFL team $20 million if they decide to sign former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Antonio Brown.

The former Tampa Bay wide receiver has made the headlines throughout his professional football career. He is currently without a team, according to a CBS Sports report.

Mayweather said that he would pay any NFL team for signing Brown if there are any problems on or off the field.

The boxer said that he thinks Brown is "really misunderstood," adding that the former wide receiver just wants to be treated fair.

Mayweather said that they will make a deal with any NFL team, if they sign Brown and he goes through the seasons without any problems at all, "then they gotta give us $20 million."

He added that if Brown messes up, they would have to be the one to pay them $20 million.

Mayweather and Brown have been frequently photographed together, with Mayweather saying he is serving as a mentor to the football player.

He noted that he pushes Brown to be better and great.

Mayweather said that Brown is still young, adding that he feels like that wide receiver still got a lot left in football, according to an Atlanta Black Star report.

He added that he had the chance to meet Brown's mom, whom he described as a great woman.

Brown recently said that he wanted another chance in the field. However, he is currently not fit with his injured ankle, causing the point of disconnect between him and the Buccaneers.

He has not yet been surgically repaired, according to an SI report.

In January, Brown with his attorney, Sean Burstyn, said that they plan to file a legal action against Tampa Bay Buccaneers for releasing Brown after he said he was too injured to continue playing against the New York Jets, according to an ESPN News report.

They also alleged head coach Bruce Arians of ignoring Brown's pleas not to reenter the game.

Burstyn said that they will pursue money for Brown's ankle surgery and money they feel Brown is owed by the NFL's collective bargaining agreement.

Brown's lawyer added that they are looking into a possible civil lawsuit in the form of defamation for the Bucs claiming Brown had a "spontaneous mental health" episode.

Burstyn said that Brown was defamed by those mental health episode allegations that made him someone who is not reliable to do a good job in the field.

Brown said that he was shown disrespect when the team questioned his mental health.

Burstyn noted that they have evidence that the team's general manager Jason Licht texted Brown after the Jets game.

Arians were asked if he knew Brown was hurt, to which he answered "I don't know that he was."

Brown disputed Arians' claim that he was upset about his lack of targets at halftime and needed to be calmed down by his teammates.
