Cristiano Ronaldo Confirms Heartbreaking Death of Baby: "It Is the Greatest Pain That Any Parents Can Feel"
Cristiano Ronaldo has announced the passing of his baby boy on his Instagram, with a statement from both him and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez.
The Manchester United football player said that his twin son's death "is the greatest pain that any [parent] can feel," according to a Unilad News report.
Ronaldo added that only the birth of their baby girl gives them the "strength to live this moment" with hope and happiness.
He then expressed his gratitude to all the doctors and nurses for the care and support their family has received.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez have publicly announced they were pregnant with twins on Oct. 28, 2021, with Rodriguez's due date being expected as being in the spring of 2022.
The two already have four children together, with Rodriguez being the biological mother of only one of them. Two of the children are twins.
The two wrote on their respective Instagram posts in late October that they were expecting twins back in October.

The recent birth of Ronaldo and Rodriguez is not only the fifth and sixth children to join their family but also their second set of twins, according to an EOnline News report.
In 2010, Ronaldo first became a father and welcomed his 11-year-old son Cristiano Jr. He announced on social media at the time that with the agreement of his son's mom, who wishes to remain anonymous, he will have the sole custody of his son.
Ronaldo confirmed in June 2017 that he was expecting his twin son and daughter. The mother of the older twins has not been named, but it was reported that the twins were conceived through a surrogate.
A month later, Rodriguez was pregnant, as confirmed by the professional football player.
Rodriguez gave birth to their first child together, Alana, 4, in November 2017.

Upon the announcement of Ronaldo's son's death, Manchester United released a statement on social media, saying, "your pain is our pain."
Ronaldo's football club added that they are sending love and strength and love to the family during this time.
His teammate Marcus Rashford also tweeted his condolences in light of the news of Ronaldo's child's passing.
Ronaldo's former side Real Madrid said in its statement that the president and board of directors "are deeply saddened," according to a BBC News report.
The team added that it shares the "family's pain" and sends all of their warmth.
Real Madrid said that it joins the grief of the whole family and wants to show them all of their love and affection.
Former Love Island contestant, Dr. Alex George, and EastEnders star, Jacqueline Jossa, paid their tribute to Ronaldo and Rodriguez's late child.
Piers Morgan also sent an emotional message, having interviewed Ronaldo before in 2019 for an ITV special, according to a Daily Mail News report.
Morgan wrote that he sends his "deepest condolences" to the family.
