Cowboys: Jerry Jones Scary Car Crash in Dallas Caught on Video!
Footage of a recent car accident involving Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has emerged, with a silver car seen trying to turn before being hit by a dark-colored sedan, which appears to be at high speed.
New York Post reported that the 79-year-old Dallas Cowboys owner was in the darker car.
The incident happened on Wednesday evening near Wolf Street and Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas. Authorities noted that a "vehicle failed to yield." It then turned in front of another vehicle, which caused the collision.
Jones was later seen getting out of the vehicle, appearing to have a slight limp. He also rolled up his pant leg to see if there were any injuries.
He was then transferred to Parkland Hospital as a precaution and returned home later.
Stephen Jones, Jones' son and Cowboys executive vice president, said his father was "all good" after the car accident.
Jerry Jones Car Crash
Dallas police have not issued any details regarding what happened with Jones' car crash. The department only noted that officers worked a two-vehicle car crash in the Dallas Victory Park neighborhood, according to a Fox 4 News report.
One woman who lives near the area witnessed the two cars colliding, saying that the other vehicle appeared to make a left turn and crashed with Jones' car.
Teresa Murphy, who witnessed the crash, said she asked the Cowboys owner if he was okay. Jones then answered that he was fine and he had just hit his head.
Murphy said that she recognized Jones because she is a Cowboys fan, adding that she watches the "Cowboys faithfully."
She added that she saw the driver make an "almost like an illegal U-turn," saying that it was how the driver "T-boned" Jones.
Jones is seen walking in front of the Hyatt House, making phone calls, and talking to people after the crash.
Murphy said that the other driver was walking and that both drivers were shaken up after the collision.
Emergency crews were called to the wreck in the area at 8:10 p.m. A local hospital described Jones' injuries as minor injuries.
Meanwhile, TMZ noted that there was no word on if any other passengers suffered any significant injuries due to the car crash.
Dallas Cowboys NFL Draft
The car collision happened days after the NFL Draft was over as Dallas looked to fill the holes left by free-agent departures.
Dallas selected offensive lineman Tyler Smith in the first round, while defensive lineman Sam Williams was selected in the second round.
For the third round, wide receiver Jalen Tolbert was picked, and Jake Ferguson in the fourth, as reported by Fox News.
Stephen commented after the draft that he does not think it is by accident that they ended up picking positions where they were picking.
Cowboys executive vice president added that there are some good players, and one has to just sort out where the groups are going to be placed.
