Johnny Depp's lawyer, Camille Vasquez, has shut down the dating rumors surrounding her and the actor that surfaced amid his defamation trial against Amber Heard.

In an interview with People, Vasquez said she was aware of those online romance rumors and resented them.

"I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job," Vasquez told the outlet as she addressed the public attention and the false speculation.

She added that it was disappointing that some outlets "kind of ran with it" or said that her interactions with the actor were inappropriate or unprofessional. The lawyer noted that the Depp was a friend, and she had known and represented him "for four-and-a-half years now."

Vasquez, who has a boyfriend, also said she was "very happy" in her relationship, and it was "unethical" for lawyers to "date our clients."

"It's also an unethical charge being made. It's sexist... It's unfortunate and disappointing, but at the same time, it kind of comes with the territory. I can't say I was all that surprised," she noted.

Vasquez also explained why she was hugging Depp. She noted that she cares deeply about her clients, and her being Cuban and Colombian makes her tactile, adding that she hugs everyone.

Vasquez added that if she could provide any bit of comfort to Depp, whether by holding his hands or letting him know that they were there to fight for him, she would do it because the actor deserves it.

"This man was fighting for his life, and it broke my heart to see him day in and day out have to sit there and listen to the most horrific allegations being made against him, the lawyer told the outlet.

Camille Vasquez to Star in New Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard Docuseries

Camille Vasquez will be even more famous as she will be starring in a new docuseries about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's defamation case in Virginia, New York Post reported.

Discover+ UK has commissioned a second series about the court case, which will feature testimonies from both lawyers and representatives of Depp and Heard.

The second documentary is a follow-up to the first "Johnny vs. Amber" series that aired last December. The first show tackled the actor's libel trial in the U.K. High Court against the Sun in 2020. 

The second series will focus on Depp and Heard's defamation case in a Fairfax, Virginia courthouse. Benjamin Chew would also be part of the said docuseries and the actors' friends, family, and key witnesses.

"When we commissioned 'Johnny vs. Amber' for Discovery+, we knew that we were tackling a very sensitive case but one with a huge global profile and interest that would resonate with our audience," head of entertainment for Warner Bros. Discovery UK, Clare Laycock, said in a statement.

Johnny Depp Faces Another Legal Battle; Camille Vasquez Still His Lawyer

After Johnny Depp won his defamation case against Amber Heard, Camille Vasquez and Ben Chew will still be his lawyers in a new civil lawsuit he will face in Los Angeles next month.

The said lawsuit revolved around an accusation that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star assaulted a worker on a film set.

Depp's upcoming trial is set for July 25 in Los Angeles Superior Court. It stems from a July 2018 suit brought by Gregg "Rocky" Brooks against the actor.

Brooks, a location manager on the set of the 2018 crime thriller "City of Lies," accused Johnny Depp of punching him twice in the rib cage on April 13, 2017.
