According to Deadline, HBO Max in Latin America has ordered an original animated feature-length film that takes Batman into another setting.

HBO Max's Batman Azteca: What sets the Batman Mexico apart?
The setting of the Batman Mexico project entitled "Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios," or "Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires," will take place in Aztec Mexico and will feature the culture of Mesoamerica, Variety reported.
The language of Batman Azteca will also be Spanish.
The story of Batman Mexico reflects the original storyline of young Bruce Wayne of Gotham City, but the Batman Azteca will incorporate the customs of the Mesoamerica region.
Batman Azteca's story will start with a young Aztec boy named Yohaulli Coatl, whose father is the leader of the village Toltecatzin. Coatl's father will be murdered by Spanish Conquistadors, prompting him to report the tragedy to their king and his high priest.
Coatl will then train with his assistant Acatzin, using the temple of Tzinacan, the bat god, as their lair.
The two will develop weaponry to confront the Spanish invasion and protect Moctezuma's temple.
Unlike the other Batman films and stories where Bruce Wayne will choose not to avenge the death of his parents, Batman Azteca will center around the protagonist going after the Spanish Conquistadors who killed his father, per IGN.
It was still unclear when the release date of Batman Azteca will be. Reports also claimed that the trailer of the film will also be announced.
"Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios," will be directed by Juan Meza-Leon. This project will be solely produced in Mexico and will feature top local talent from the country.
Alejandro Diaz Barriga, an expert in Mesoamerican studies and the ethnic history of Mexico and the Andean region, will also work with the production of Batman Azteca closely to ensure the indigenous representation that will be seen in the film is relevant and appropriate.
Other Batman Films Aside From Batman Mexico
IGN noted that fans and critics have responded well to Batman animated movies, like "Batman: Under the Red Hood" and "Batman: Year One."
Batman Azteca will be the new film adding to the straw of upcoming animated Batman animated projects, including "DC League Super-Pets" on July 29, "Batwheels" coming in Fall, and "Batman: Caped Crusader that is to be announced in 2023.
