The Golden State Warriors have won another NBA championship, besting a hungry Boston Celtics team on the road in Game 6 to win the franchise's seventh NBA title.

The final score was 103-90 in favor of Golden State. This is also the Warriors' fourth NBA title in seven seasons, as they once again take the Larry O'Brien Trophy back home to the Bay Area, which includes Oakland and San Francisco.

Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry Wins His First NBA Finals MVP

Steph Curry led the Golden State Warriors with 34 points during Game 6 of the Best-of-Seven Finals. He also won the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP Award for the very first time as well.

Despite previously winning the MVP trophy in back-to-back seasons, Curry has never won the NBA Finals MVP prior to this season. Andre Iguodala won the award in 2015, while Kevin Durant won it in 2017 and 2018.

This would also be the fourth set of rings for the trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. The core trio has stayed together with the Golden State Warriors despite rebuilding and the arrival and eventual departure of superstar Kevin Durant.

Andre Igoudala, who won Finals MVP in 2015, also returned to Golden State this season. During the post-game interview, Curry admitted that it was hard to get back to winning on a high level. 

He also praised the Boston Celtics for a challenging game and stated that every match-up they had in the playoffs was hard, but they found a way to "get it done."

The win also cemented the legacy for Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Golden State Warriors, who won his 9th ring. According to NBC News, Kerr, a former teammate of NBA icon Michael Jordan, now has five championship rings as a player and four as a coach.

The Golden State Warriors have certainly redeemed themselves after a string of disappointing seasons, including multiple injuries for their Big 3 and Kevin Durant leaving the franchise for the Brooklyn Nets.

The win would also be the Golden State Warriors' first NBA Finals victory since moving from Oakland's Oracle Arena to San Francisco's Chase Stadium.

The Future Still Looks Bright for the Boston Celtics

Despite coming up short this season, the Boston Celtics still look to be a promising young team. With a solid core comprising of Jayson Tatum, Jalen Brown, and Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart, the young Celtics core looks to come back hungrier next season.

Brown led the Celtics with 34 points, with veteran big man Al Horford putting in a double-double performance with 19 points and 14 rebounds. 

Boston Celtics actually led early in the game, but a 14-4 run by the Golden State Warriors erased that lead. Horford and Brown tried hard to keep Boston alive, but the Warriors showed their experience by keeping the Celtics at bay.
