As the January 6 committee finds more significance in Mike Pence's role in thwarting the insurrection, the panel said they might issue a subpoena for the former vice president. 

The committee also said on Sunday that they were also waiting to hear from Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. 

According to several witness testimonies, Ginni has been active in the efforts to keep former President Donald Trump in power during the January 6 insurrection.

Committee member Rep. Adam Schiff said they were not taking anybody off the table in terms of witnesses who were yet to testify. 

He noted that a subpoena for Pence is "certainly a possibility." Schiff added that they would also like to hear from several other high-profile people as well.

Lawmakers have been able to document what Trump has said in his heated phone call with Pence on the morning of January 6. However, the committee has yet to hear what Pence has said in response. 

Witness testimony stated that Trump called Pence a "wimp" and the "P-word" during the phone call, and the former president pleaded with his vice president not to accept the election's results and overturn it. 

However, Mike Pence chose to move forward with his constitutional duties as vice president and certified the 2020 electoral results.

January 6 Committee to Hear From Ginni Thomas and Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers

According to CNN, the January 6 committee has already sent a letter to Ginny Thomas to speak about her role in the effort to overturn the election results.

The wife of conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarine Thomas has indicated that she is open to speaking with the committee. She told The Daily Caller that she wanted to clear up any misconceptions.

In addition, the committee is also expected to hear from Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers. The panel will reportedly ask the Arizona state representative about the emails Ginny had sent him, urging him and other state officials to set aside President Joe Biden's win in the state during the 2020 presidential elections.

Ginny has allegedly emailed several officials, including White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, in order to help overturn the election results.

The hearings have also revealed that she was also in communications with Trump's lawyer John Eastman, who has gotten notoriety for suggesting that Mike Pence should overturn the election results. It was found during the hearings that Eastman knew that such an act was illegal but continued pushing the idea anyway.

January 6 Committee to Also Investigate 'the Big Rip-off' by the Trump Campaign

The Associated Press reported that the January 6 committee has indicated that they will also reveal more details about Donald Trump and his presidential campaign's efforts to defraud supporters. 

Dubbed the "Big Rip-off," this was allegedly Trump attempting to gather money from his supporters by using the false claims of the stolen election and getting them to donate to his campaign.

In a statement to ABC's "This Week," Illinois Republican and January 6 committee member Rep. Adam Kinzinger promised that the public would have a clear picture of Trump's failure to abide by his oath as president. 

He said that the committee will present evidence that shows "criminal involvement by a president." Kinzinger further noted that he and his family had received threats due to him being part of the January 6 committee.
