Anna Moriah Wilson Death: Texas Murder Suspect Kaitlin Armstrong Arrested in Costa Rica After 43-Day Manhunt
Texas murder suspect, Kaitlin Armstrong, was arrested this week in Costa Rica after authorities looked for her for over 40 days due to her connection to the death of multi-sport athlete Anna Moriah Wilson.
Armstrong's arrest was announced by U.S. Marshals on Thursday, claiming that the Texas murder suspect was captured on Wednesday, according to Fox News.
Marshals Office said in a news release that Armstrong was found at a hostel on Santa Teresa Beach, located in Provincia de Puntarenas, CNN reported.
"This is an example of combining the resources of local, state, federal and international authorities to apprehend a violent fugitive, bring an end to that run and hopefully a sense of closure to the victim's family," U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas Susan Pamerleau underscored.
A spokesperson from the Migration Directorate, who was not named, noted that Armstrong was transferred to Centro de Apprehension Regional Central on Thursday morning. The said prison is located in Los Lagos.
The Texas murder suspect is expected to be deported to the U.S., where she will face justice. The Migration Directorate spokesperson emphasized that authorities have at least 30 days to accomplish her deportation order.
However, retired former commander of the U.S. Marshal Service's New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, Lenny DePaul, claimed that Armstrong would "probably waive her extradition, and Marshals Service would have 10 days to extradite her to the United States.

Ana Moriah Wilson Death: Texas Murder Suspect Used Passport With Mismatched Identity
Previously, the U.S. Marshals mentioned that Kaitlin Armstrong used a fraudulent passport to board a flight from Newark International Airport to Costa Rica on May 18.
However, Costa Rica's General Migration Directorate confirmed on Thursday that the Texas murder suspect utilized a passport that "did not correspond to her identity." However, the agency pointed out that the documents Armstrong used were not faked.
Authorities claimed that the passport Armstrong used was "issued to someone else" that has a very close physical description of the Texas murder suspect.
Reports claimed that Kaitlin Armstrong shares similar physical characteristics with her sister, Christie Armstrong.
Jason Jansen, a Utah-based private investigator that follows the case, told Fox that there is a chance that the Texas murder suspect was using her sister's identity.
Ana Moriah Wilson's Death
Ana Moriah Wilson, a multi-sport athlete, was caught in a love triangle with Kaitlin Armstrong and professional cyclist Colin Strickland.
Investigators believe that Wilson's death may have been a violent act of romantic jealousy.
Wilson met her demise on May 11 after she told her friend that she would go for an afternoon swim with Strickland, according to an affidavit filed in Travis County District Court. Strickland told investigators that he dropped Wilson at her friend's home, but she did not go inside.
Police then responded to the home at around 10 p.m. and found Wilson with multiple gunshot wounds. The multi-sport athlete was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wilson's family previously said that Ana Moriah was not in any romantic relationship with anyone during the time of her death.
On May 17, the police issued a homicide warrant for Armstrong. The affidavit mentioned details as well as a video showing that a vehicle similar to the car of the Texas murder suspect was near the home where Wilson was staying.
Authorities also issued an arrest warrant against Armstrong for an alleged unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
The police also located two handguns in the home Strickland shared with Armstrong. The federal warrant issued against Armstrong this month stated that laboratory test-firing of Armstrong's pistol confirmed that it spent shell casings found at the scene of the murder.
