Colombian pop sensation Shakira was spotted all smiles on Tuesday as she went surfing with a "hunky mystery man" in Spain, following her split from Gerard Pique after 11 years.

According to the Daily Mail, Shakira was spotted enjoying the waves and flaunted her surfing skills with her son, Milan, and a "handsome" man.

Photos taken by the outlet showed Shakira in a black and red wet suit while her long curly hair styled in wet waves. Shakira's friends were also on the beach in Spain to have a good time with the "Whenever, Wherever" singer.

In one photo, Shakira could not help but smile while talking with her friends and enjoying the waves of the beach in Spain. She was also seen with a big smile while talking with the mystery man.

Shakira's outing with the mystery man comes a week after the Colombian singer and the football superstar announced their split.

In a joint statement, the former pair said: "We regret to confirm that we are separating... For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect our privacy. Thank you for your understanding."

Their separation came after rumors surfaced on Spanish media that Gerard Pique was cheating on Shakira.

Shakira and Gerard Pique Now Working on the Custody of Their Children

Shakira and Gerard Pique are reportedly in the process of finding a solution over the custody of their children. According to Marca, Shakira wanted her sons, Sasha and Milan, to spend the next few years with her in Miami.

Although the "Waka Waka" singer wanted her sons to move to Miami with her, Pique would still have visiting rights. However, Shakira's former partner wanted his sons to stay in Barcelona, Spain, as he did not want his sons to be put in a new and different environment.

Both stars have placed the matter in the hands of two law firms to resolve the issue.

Shakira and Gerard Pique Split: The Real Reason

Shakira and Gerard Pique have remained mum on the real reason for their split. However, the Colombian singer's former brother-in-law revealed that the real reason behind their separation was money.

In an interview with a Spanish media, Roberto Garcia, an ex-boyfriend of one of Shakira's sisters, said the pair has a perfect relationship. However, problems between them started to emerge because of money.

"According to what a person very close to them has told me, there has been an economic problem between the two. Supposedly, Pique would have asked Shakira for money for an investment issue and the singer's family has refused to give it to him," Garcia noted.

Garcia added that Pique and Shakira don't mix their money and keep the "family's economy at 50%." He also revealed that Shakira always knew that she would not get married to the Spanish soccer player. Garcia noted that Shakira fixed on Gerard Pique because she liked him as the father of her children.
