The city of Baltimore resumed its Independence Day celebration after a two-year hiatus.

Meanwhile, in Miami's Bayfront Park, crowds built throughout the day in anticipation of the July 4th nighttime show, according to CBS News.
Some Independence Day celebrators in Florida like Matthew Cruz noted that it was their first time celebrating the holiday ever since the COVID pandemic began.
"We're here to enjoy the fireworks in Miami and you know, be a part of the city," Cruz added.
The fireworks show at Bayfront Park will start at 9 p.m. Miami police suggest that those planning at the park to watch the show use public transportation. All paid parking in the downtown area will also be open.
Independence Day would also be celebrated by some 52 newly naturalized citizens, as they would swear oaths of citizenship in Mount Vernon. Treasury Secretary Janett Yellen highlighted their importance in America's workforce.
"Immigrants strengthen our workforce, and, in the process, help drive the resiliency and vitality of our economy," Yellen underscored.
