There is a perceived "major violence" if former president President Donald Trump is indicted following the January 6 hearings.

Former 2020 Republican presidential candidate Joe Walsh told Salon that he thinks Trump's "most radicalized supporters" would cause violence once he is indicted after the January 6 hearings.

According to Newsweek, Walsh noted that there would be a "major uptick" in violence across the country if the former president is indicted. Walsh was a Trump supporter turned vocal critic.

He then said that Trump is his supporters' "cult leader," adding that there would be major violence as "the Deep State" went after their leader.

Walsh further noted that he had observed rising hate coming from Make America Great Again (MAGA) supporters who called into his podcast show since the January 6 hearings started.

He said MAGA followers are not watching the hearings but continue to hear about them. He added that there was a lot of anger at these hearings and defensiveness about January 6.

Walsh was not the first to issue concerns if Donald Trump gets indicted after the January 6 hearings.

If Donald Trump Is Indicted After January 6 Hearings

Donald Trump's niece, Mary Trump, has said that the former president would "turn on everybody" if he is indicted.

In an episode of "The Thom Hartmann Program" last week, Mary noted that Trump would do everything to pin the blame on everybody but himself.

Mary said the public should expect a full court press by the former president and everybody around him to "change the subject," Newsweek reported.

"Muddy the waters, deflect, project, cast blame on everybody from the lowliest of White House aides on up," she noted.

Mary said Trump "will not take it lying down" and would recruit everyone who continues "to be a hanger-on to do his bidding."

She then added that her uncle did not do this by himself. She said Trump "was enabled at every turn from people in his inner circle," in the executive branch, and "almost the entirety of the Republican Party."

Mary added that Trump could even turn on his eldest three children as his relationships with Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric are "conditional" and "transactional."

Attorney Normal Eisen projected that Trump was "heading towards" an indictment in Georgia. Early last year, Georgia county District Attorney Fani Willis launched the investigation into Trump after he pressured state officials to help overturn the election win of President Joe Biden.

Reports said there was an audio call between Trump and Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that leaked, in which the former president urged the GOP official to "find" enough votes to change the election's outcome.

However, Walsh was still skeptical that Donald Trump would be indicted and believed that nothing would happen to him.

January 6 Hearings to Focus on Donald Trump's Conduct

The January 6 hearing is returning to a primetime slot on Thursday. It will focus on Donald Trump's conduct, and response as the Capitol rioters breached the building.

CNN News reported that Democratic Rep. Elaine Luria of Virginia would be leading the hearing on Thursday with GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger.

Luria noted that the committee would zoom in on the former president's minute-by-minute actions. The January 6 select committee has not announced yet who will testify at the upcoming hearing.

While the committee has not yet said who will testify, former Trump White House deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews was earlier reported to testify in the hearing.

Meanwhile, Trump ally Steve Bannon is scheduled to go on trial on Monday over contempt of Congress charges as he refused to comply with a committee subpoena last year.

Bannon pleaded not guilty to his charge and told the committee that he was willing to testify earlier this month.
