It's finally time for WWE Creative to play "The Game" as Paul "Triple H" Levesque will be taking over for his now-retired father-in-law Vince McMahon. He will oversee character development, storylines, and the overall creative direction for much of WWE's shows.

This will be the first time somebody other than Vince McMahon will be overseeing the company's creative direction since he first bought the company from his father in 1982.

ESPN reported that following Vince's exit, Triple H will be the one overseeing WWE's next big event, SummerSlam, which takes place in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday. He will also oversee the various storylines for the company's two flagship shows, WWE Smackdown! and WWE RAW.

Big Personnel Movement in WWE Following Vince McMahon Exit

Both Vince McMahon and WWE President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis are embroiled in sexual misconduct scandals following two Wall Street Journal reports. This resulted in Laurinaitis' exit from the company and may be one of the reasons for Vince McMahon's abrupt retirement announcements, according to Bleacher Report.

Replacing Vince McMahon as the CEO of WWE are Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon-Levesque, the wife of Triple H and daughter of Vince McMahon. Both Khan and McMahon-Levesque will be co-CEOs for the company and will manage it on the corporate level.

That is not all, though, because Triple H will also be the new head of talent relations, replacing John Laurinaitis. He was previously the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations before the scandal broke out and Laurinaitis left the company. He recently returned to the post following a cardiac event in September, which forced him to step away from the company for health reasons.

"I'm healthy, fired up, and ready to take charge," said the 52-year-old Levesque, who will be back full-time after his cardiac scare. This time, though, he will have more responsibilities.

WWE Personnel Generally Happy With Triple H Running the Show

Vince McMahon's storylines and treatment of wrestlers became a huge source of frustration not just among wrestlers, but fans as well. His approach was described as "out of touch" and "outdated," as the wrestling business evolved through the years.

With Vince McMahon's exit, Triple H taking over both WWE Creative and WWE Talent Relations is seen in a largely positive light. According to Fightful Select, there is "general excitement" over Triple H being the one taking over the reins of WWE Creative from Vince McMahon.

One source said that they view him taking over as an "exciting change."

However, change might not come immediately. WWE may still want to see Vince McMahon's vision through as deference to the man who has brought the company much success through the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. However, ESPN pointed out that once Vince's vision is realized, Triple H will be reshaping the company afterward.
