Social Security Payments 2022: Who Is Eligible To Get Upcoming $1657 Payments?
Social Security Payments 2022 will be released tomorrow with eligible Americans set to receive the cost-of-living adjustment checks from Social Security Administration.
The U.S. Sun reported that qualified Americans will get direct payments worth $1,657 and a maximum benefit of up to $4,194 each. The date of your birth will be the determining factor in the schedule of distribution of Social Security payments.
The SSA cannot send Social Security benefits if recipients have moved to countries such as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Tajikistan. Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are also included in the list.
To be eligible for social security benefits as a worker, you must be age 62 or older; disabled or blind; and "insured" by having enough work credits, according to Social Security Administration's website.
To qualify for another social security benefit called Supplemental Security Income, recipients must be at least 65 or blind or disabled.
In addition, eligible recipients should have limited income, limited sources, and a citizen in one of the 50 states.

Social Security Payments 2022
Nationwide Retirement Institute's recent survey found that Americans 26 and older are planning to claim their benefits early, with 42 percent of respondents planning to file while continuing to work, an increase of six percent from last year. The survey was conducted between April and May with 1,853 adult participants.
The SSA increases recipients' eventual benefit by about two-thirds of one percent for each month from your full retirement age until age 70.
If the average benefit is $1,500, your check could be $1,050 if you retire at 62. However, if you wait until 70, the check will be around $1,888.
Social Security benefits could soon see the largest increase in 40 years due to the soaring inflation over the past year.
Social Security Payments August
The Social Security Administration releases payments on three different Wednesdays of each month, which are the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays.
The Wednesday you will receive your payments depend on the recipients' birthday, as reported by CNET.
Recipients who have their birthdays falling between the 1st and 10th of the month can expect to receive their payments on the second Wednesday of the month.
For those who have their birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month, they are scheduled to receive their benefits on the third of the Wednesday of the month.
Lastly, if your birthday falls between the 21st and 31st of the month, the payment will be sent out on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
For those receiving both Social Security and SSI, the payment schedule will be different. Social Security payment will be released on the third day of each month while your SSI will be sent out on the first day of each month.
The final payment date for June was on July 27.
Social Security Administration advises recipients to wait three additional mailing days before calling if their check has not arrived on the scheduled date.
