'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Cast, News & Release Date: Eloise Mumford and Don Johnson Talk 'Perfect' Performances by Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson in '50 Shades'
Those close to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie are promising fans a tasteful film with great performances from Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) and Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey).
Eloise Mumford plays Kate, Anastasia's roommate, in the upcoming movie adaptation of E.L. James' best-selling erotic novel. According to the actress, director Sam Taylor-Johnson and cinematographer Seamus McGarvey know exactly what they're doing.
"She's such a great director," Eloise told E! News on Monday. "I knew right away it would be tasteful and artistic, and the cinematographer is Seamus McGarvey. He did 'Anna Karenina.' It's going to be beautiful."
Eloise also took time to boast about her co-stars.
"In the end, the story really is a romance and a love story so it's about that more than anything," she said. "... [Dakota and Jaime are] the perfect pair to play Ana and Christian."
Don Johnson, a fellow actor and Dakota's father, seems to agree that Dakota will not disappoint fans with her portrayal of the character's raunchy behavior.
"This is what we do, and I am absolutely certain that Dakota will take a piece of material and a character which a lot of people might imagine could be inappropriate in some ways and turn it into something spectacular," he told "Good Morning Britain" on Monday. "Speaking like a proud father and a seasoned professional, I can tell you that she is a gifted, gifted actress, and this will just be one part in a long line of tremendous performances in her career."
Still, Johnson has no desire to see the film.
"It's not something that I would go to anyway," he told The Telegraph last week. "I probably will not see it just because it's not a movie I would see. I've never seen 'The Vampire Diaries.' I've never seen 'Twilight.' It's in a category of films that I just wouldn't be interested in."
Fans will find out just how artistic Dakota and Jamie's performances are portrayed on Feb. 13, 2015, when "Fifty Shades of Grey" hits theaters.
