Iowa Grandma Killed in Vicious Attack by Her Own 5 Great Dane Dogs
An Iowa grandma died this week after her own five Great Dane dogs attacked her, according to authorities.
Clay County Sheriff's Office deputies received a call at around 1:45 p.m. Monday from someone who found a woman in a ditch but was afraid to get close to her due to several large dogs surrounding her.
When police arrived near the intersection of 450th Street and 200th Avenue, they found Mindy Kiepe, 43, dead, according to Live 5 News. The scene was near the victim's farm in Rossie in northwest Iowa.
Kiepe's body was taken to the Iowa State Medical Examiner for an autopsy. The man who called initially assumed the Iowa grandma was involved in a motorcycle accident. However, the autopsy report showed that the cause of her death was multiple dog bite injuries.

Great Dane Dogs Attacking
In 2019, another woman was found dead inside her home in Ohio after her two Great Dane dogs reportedly attacked her.
According to an incident report from Clearcreek Township Police Department, the body of Mary Matthews, 49, was found at her home in the village of Waynesville after the cops were notified of a possible overdose.
Her husband, Mark Matthews, and his son, Luke Matthews, had reportedly discovered the Ohio mom lying unresponsive on the bathroom floor, People reported.
There was blood on the steps of the garage that led into the home. Police also found bloodstains on the door frame entering the laundry room and the washer and dryer.
Several cuts and puncture marks were found in Mary's body, with a chunk of flesh missing from her left upper ankle area. The report noted that her body appeared bloated and was not of good color without any signs of breathing.
A medic came, and the Iowa mom was pronounced dead at the scene. Police found two Great Dane dogs looking "large but thin." One of the Great Danes was black, and the other was brown. They were on the enclosed deck of the home.
Mark told a local news outlet that they rescued the two Great Danes two years before the attack. He said the dogs had become "increasingly vicious" in the weeks leading up to the attack.
Mark added that he wanted to get rid of the animals, but his wife would not let him because she loves animals. Reports said the dogs were later put down.
