Ohio Man Goes to Wife's Workplace to Kill Her Before Turning Gun on Himself
An Ohio man identified as 32-year-old Jason Madden had shown up in his wife's workplace and killed her. The victim was identified as 33-year-old Rachel Madden.
People reported that Madden went to his estranged wife's workplace after he received a notice that he could no longer work at the same company. He then fled the scene and turned the gun on himself when he was approached by police.
An investigator for Adams Country Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Kenneth Dick, said the two were going through a divorce.
A source reported that Rachel allegedly filed a protective order against Madden on August 16 despite the couple working at the same company, Southern Ohio Lumber Company.
A GoFundMe account was created to help the family with expenses and help Rachel's son, who is 12 years old. Her GoFundMe page described Rachel as an "incredible mother" to her son, who lost both his parents.

Officials arrived at the scene and found her body inside one of the buildings. Madden has escaped, but the sheriff's office had a description of his vehicle.
Madden was pulled over by law enforcement at the intersection of State Route 41 and 32 roughly 90 minutes later, as reported by Fox 19 News report.
Rachel's family is now making funeral arrangements for her.
Madden and Rachel were married for 13 years and shared a 12-year-old son.
Rachel's sister, Whitney Bradshaw, spoke about how her sister felt regarding Madden.
Bradshaw shared that her sister felt like she needed to get away from her husband, adding that Rachel has started to express concerns about her husband since last month.
Bradshaw said her main concern right now is her nephew.
Victim's Sister
Bradshaw claimed that Rachel wanted a divorce as she did not feel safe. The victim filed a protection order against her husband and planned to make that order even more restrictive.
Bradshaw said Rachel stayed with her a month before the incident. However, Rachel had to go back for her son and the filing of the protection order. Bradshaw said her sister was still being harassed by Madden, according to Local 12 News report.
Bradshaw recalled that her sister was doing office work at her workplace while Madden was a mechanic.
She then described her sister as someone who made sure that everyone was taken care of, adding that everything that Rachel did was for her son.
Bradshaw revealed she was texting with her sister in a family chat an hour before Rachel was killed. Rachel commented in those texts that her husband's behavior was erratic and that she could not help him anymore.
Bradshaw said that she believes that the papers Jason received in the mail around Wednesday noon were in reference to the protection order and that they think it was the reason that set him off.
