Mar-a-Lago special master Judge Raymond Dearie is ordering former President Donald Trump's team to present to the court any pieces of evidence they had that support their claims that the Federal Bureau of Investigation planted additional items on the seized classified documents in his Florida mansion last August 8.

In the past few weeks, Donald Trump, among many others supporting him, has continued to accuse the law enforcement agency of allegedly planting evidence against him during the Mar-a-Lago search. Trump has reiterated his claims in a Fox News interview last Wednesday.

But aside from asking Trump to provide evidence, it would seem like Judge Dearie would be needing more help than he had possibly anticipated. He is now tapping retired federal Judge James Orenstein for his vast experience in complex case management, with the Mar-a-Lago independent review being the case.

With a deadline of November 30, Dearie is ordered by Judge Aileen Cannon to make an independent review of the 11,000 White House documents seized at Trump's Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida.

Donald Trump Claims FBI Planted Evidence on Mar-a-Lago, Special Master Orders Him To Provide Proof

In an exclusive interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, former President Donald Trump claims that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has planted evidence against him during the Mar-a-Lago search last August 8. Asked if he had proof of that, Trump says he does not have any.

Trump, along with his other allies, have accused the FBI numerous times that the unannounced raid was a political witch hunt.

Now, the same Special Master that Trump's team has consistently requested orders them to produce evidence to support their claims, CNN reported.

In a new filing, Dearie orders the former president's team to submit a sworn declaration expressing their stance that the Justice Department and details of the "specific items set forth in the Detailed Property Inventory that Plaintiff asserts were not seized from the Premises on August 8, 2022."

Special Master Raymond Dearie Enlists Retired Federal Judge As Additional Help for Mar-a-Lago Document Review

In a proposed case plan obtained by Politico, Brooklyn-based New York Judge Raymond Dearie is seeking the help of retired Federal judge James Ornstein and his staff to help him review the 11,000 classified documents seized by the FBI on Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.

Per Dearie, James Ornstein has experience with complex case management, privilege review, warrant procedures, and other matters that may arise in the course of the Special Master's duties.

Indicated in the filing, Dearie ordered that Ornstein, a now-retired judge, be paid $500 for his services. As for him, he would not be seeking any additional compensation for his work as an independent reviewer for the case as he is currently on the government payroll.

Both Dearie and Ornstein have to conclude their third-party review on or before November 30, where they will submit the findings to Judge Aileen Cannon.
