Sofia Vergara, star of ABC's primetime comedy "Modern Family" is using her signature curves to promote her newest line for Kmart, a shape wear collection called Sofia by Sofia Vergara.

Vergara, 41, launched the collection Monday night with a photo shoot featuring herself as the model.

"Shape wear has always been a part of a woman's wardrobe, but I wanted it to look cute, not like a horrible girdle," Vergara said, according to Women's Wear Daily.

In the photo, Vergara is shown laid out in leopard-print shape wear and sporting a pair of black heels. With golden brown hair, smoky eyes and red lipstick, her curves are hugged by the black outlines of the one-piece.

Sofia's new lingerie line is designed to smooth curves and create an hourglass figure, while still being within expected Kmart price range. Her latest shape wear stars at $14.99. The line's most expensive item is the teddy, which is about $25.

The "Modern Family" star announced the start of the shape wear line earlier this year to the fashion web site, Women's Wear Daily.

"My shape wear launch is very exciting and really fun for me because the colors and materials are so sexy," Vergara said.

Vergara made the line after recognizing the importance of having a little extra help to look the best during special events.

"Usually, when I go to an event I wear shape wear," Vergara said. "It's not to hold anything in, but to smooth everything out... But I do have to wear a bra with everything."

Vergara started her career on a United States Hispanic network. She is a founding partner of Latin World Entertainment, alongside Luis Balaguer. The company targets Latino Americans who work in fields such as publicity, brand integration, licensing, production and content development and endorsements. The starlet also has clothing, shoes and jewelry lines with Kmart.
