Is British boy band One Direction soon to be One Direction + One? The rumor mill is swirling today after Zayn Malik's girlfriend Perrie Edwards was seen sporting a gaudy diamond ring on her ring finger for the premiere of the movie "One Direction: This Is Us."

Reports were already circulating earlier this summer that Zayn had bought Perrie a very expensive ring when they had a rendezvous in Paris. Perrie was in the romance capital of the world at the time, performing with her band Little Mix.

"Perrie was in Paris working," a source told Heat magazine, "so Zayn flew over there and they spent a romantic couple of days together. He then surprised her with a diamond Tiffany ring. He really wanted to prove how much he loved her."

It's possible that the ring Perrie was showing off on the red carpet Tuesday was the same one Zayn had bought her several months prior. The fact that she would wear such a diamond ring on her ring finger is at the very least telling of just how serious this couple is.

"Zayn is so lovely," Perrie beamed. "You know things are good when you can't wait to see the other person. It's a sense of friendship. The main thing I looked for is if he's fun to be around, if I can have a laugh with him."

Zayn has clearly let it be known just how committed he is to his paramour. The One Direction crooner already has received quite a bit of attention after he got a tattoo of Perrie that covers up most of his arm.

"I didn't tell her before I had it done and just surprised her with it when I came back from the States one day. She was shocked at first but loves it now," Zayn recalled. "She thinks I'm crazy, like everyone else does. To be fair, I am a little bit crazy... I'm happy to be labelled the crazy one of the group."

No word yet on whether the two have officially gotten engaged. But hey, even if their relationship doesn't last forever, at least Zayn's tattoo will.
