Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's marriage is currently on the rocks. The power couple has been in a fight for over a month now, and they are living separately from one another. However, the two seem to have been having problems for about a decade now.

A source with knowledge of the issue told People Magazine that the problems have been happening for 10 years now, saying, "This has been going on forever. This is nothing new to either of them."

Another source also confirmed that both of them have already hired their own respective divorce lawyers.

Gisele Bundchen Is Fine, but Tom Brady Is 'Hurting'

The first source told People magazine that "Gisele is doing fine." The Brazilian supermodel is "getting her stuff in order," the source added, and said that the couple is fighting over their marriage so "they can do their own thing and move on."

That same source also stated, "They are both smart people and number one in their field. They know together they are worth more."

However, another source told People magazine that Tom is not doing as well as his wife. This other source said that "It's pretty obvious that he's hurting."

Gisele has been known for her fiery Brazilian temper, and previous reports have stated that whenever the power couple gets into a fight, Brady usually lets her cool off for a while before patching it up and resuming their family life as normal.

Tom Brady Forced To Go on the Defensive

According to the first source, Gisele is also the one steering the divorce and is the one on the offensive, with Tom being forced to play defensively. They explained Tom wants to protect himself and his interests, but he is only starting to go the legal path in his defense from her.

"He doesn't want this to be ugly, he doesn't want to fight. If the divorce is happening - and it seems like it is - he wants it to go as smoothly as possible," the first source said.

People magazine pointed out that Tom Brady is a man used to winning, and this makes his current marital issues a bit more difficult for him to handle as Gisele is the one managing the tempo.

"He hasn't had a lot of things go wrong in his life. This is awful for him. You can tell that this really, really hurts," stated the first source.

This latest fight between the two stemmed from Tom Brady's decision to come out of retirement once again and return to playing as quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gisele was not happy with this decision, as she and her husband agreed to spend more time with their kids after he retired.

Gisele lashed out after an "Epic Fight" and booked a ticket to Costa Rica where she stayed for a few days with her family. However, she returned to spend time with her kids but is now living separately with friends in Miami.
