Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady shut down the possibility of quitting the NFL midseason amid divorce rumors with his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen.

According to Fox News, Brady said there is "no retirement in my future." He added that he loves the sport and his teammates and wanted to do a "great job" for his team. However, the quarterback did not state how long there would be "no retirement" for.

Brady has played in six games this year and has just thrown eight touchdowns. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are scoring just 20.2 points per game, ranking 20th in the NFL.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Chris Simms had brought up the idea that Brady would leave the sport midseason during an appearance on NBC's "Pro Football Talk Live" on Tuesday.

Simms also discussed things going on in Brady's life outside of his football career, such as rumors of divorce from his wife, which could reportedly prompt Brady to retire from the NFL before the season's final game.

People reported that Pro Football Talk host Mike Florio echoed Simms' sentiments, believing that Brady could leave in the middle of the season.

"I have thought all along there's a chance Brady checks out during the season," said Florio, adding that he still thinks that could happen.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Play

The Steelers limited the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to one touchdown and three field goals in four red zone trips on Sunday, according to a Buccaneers news release.

Tom Brady said the Buccaneers' issues in the red zone were just execution, emphasizing that it was an "execution game," and that there were too many plays they were not making.

The quarterback noted that they were playing "less than what we are capable of." He then said, "we all have to look in the mirror and ask why." The Pittsburgh rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett led his team on a touchdown drive on its first possession.

This marks the second this season that the Tampa Bay team has lost by two points after unsuccessful attempts to tie the game in the fourth quarter with a two-point conversion.

Tom Brady previously retired from the NFL earlier this year but returned to the team just 40 days later.

Tom Brady Comes Back to Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Last month, Tom Brady said in an episode of the "Let's Go!" podcast that he came out of retirement because he felt like he had "a little left" in the tank.

He noted that he wanted to give it a shot and owed it to his teammates, coaches, and the whole organization, The Spun reported. Brady said they had created something pretty special in the team in the last few years.

The 45-year-old quarterback experienced a heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Rams during last season's playoffs, and he said he would like to avenge that loss this fall.

Tom Brady noted that the "competitive fire still burns." The Tampa Bay Buccaneers opened the season on the road against the Dallas Cowboys.
