Indiana Woman Jumps Out of a Moving Car, Man Charged With Kidnapping
An Indiana woman reportedly jumped out of a moving car to escape a violent kidnapping incident.
According to court documents acquired by News 8, Wade Jackson, 61, was arrested and charged with kidnapping with moderate bodily injury, intimidation, and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury after the woman jumped out of the car he was driving.
The Bloomington Police Department sent an officer to a nearby hospital on October 18 at 3:30 p.m. because there was a report of a domestic disturbance.
When the police officer got there, he talked to the woman, who said she had jumped out of a moving car on West Tapp Road earlier that day before she was taken to the hospital by a relative. Investigators said Jackson has also been abusing the Indiana woman.

Indiana Woman Was a Victim of Kidnapping and Domestic Abuse
The Indiana woman told police that she left their shared apartment and stayed at a friend's apartment after they had an argument. She said Wade Jackson found her in her friend's apartment on the afternoon of October 18.
Despite hiding, the woman said Jackson still found her and grabbed her by her ponytail, dragging her outside the apartment while hitting and punching her in the head, back, hips, and legs.
According to WBIW, Jackson told the woman he would kill her if she made a scene once they were outside. Jackson then began to drive, steering the wheel with his left hand.
The Indiana woman said she made the daring escape from the moving car after Jackson hit her with his right hand and threatened to kill her again. The woman told police that she jumped out of the vehicle out of fear for her life.
According to a witness, Jackson was driving "erratically and swerving." She told detectives that she could not see much inside the car since the windows were tinted but thought those inside the vehicle were arguing.
The witness also said she saw a woman jumping out of the car, and the driver sped away. Court documents said the Indiana woman suffered road rash on different parts of her body and a large abrasion on her head.
Jackson was arrested at his apartment on Lenzy Way on Sunday. He is set to appear in court for a pre-trial conference on December 8.

A man in Arkansas, who posted on social media that he had been "kidnapped, was arrested by police on numerous offenses.
According to KAIT8, the Helena-West Helena Police Department said in a statement that Cynthia Sparks went to the police station at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday to report that her son was missing.
Sparks told police that her 26-year-old son, Fredrick Gamble, had posted on Facebook earlier that morning that he had been kidnapped. While police were looking into the case, they heard that Gamble was at a house in West Helena's 10th Street.
When Helena-West Helena Police and Phillips County Sheriff's Office deputies executed a search warrant on the residence, they discovered Gamble and his 42-year-old girlfriend Nicole Rohrscheib inside.
