Tom Werner Marries ABC News' Jennifer Ashton
In a small ceremony on Saturday, Dr. Jennifer Ashton of ABC News wedded TV producer and Boston Red Sox chairman Tom Werner. It was a wedding to remember.
According to Yahoo, family and friends, like Sara Gilbert, Donna Karan, Corey Gamble, Al Michaels, George Stephanopoulos, and Ali Wentworth, all witnessed the wedding.
"I'm so happy because I never thought I'd find love like this," says Ashton, 53, who wore a Ralph Lauren Collection gown for her big day.
"But when you're older, it doesn't take long to recognize when you've found your soul mate."
Following the vows, guests were led to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a reception at the historic Temple of Dendur, where they dined on fish and filet while listening to the Elan Music band.

Tom Werner and Jennifer Ashton's Wedding
Ashton was joined by her daughter, 22, and son, 24, for the ceremony, which was held in New York City's renowned Harmony Club.
She made her heartfelt commitment to Werner, 72.
"We just wanted it to be a celebration of love and happiness," Ashton says of the wedding, which was planned by Todd Fiscus of Todd Events, The Bharat Express News noted.
"I never thought this would happen to me. And I'm so grateful."
In February 2021, Werner and Ashton met through a mutual friend, former TBEN News president Ben Sherwood.
In the 1970s, Werner created sitcoms like "That Show," "The Cosby Show," and "Roseanne." He oversees the Liverpool Football Club as its chairman.
According to Ashton, she thought she was one of the few people working on TV and did not know who Werner was.
"I didn't watch his shows, and I wasn't a baseball or football fan. But after our first date, we got serious pretty quickly," she recalled
Jennifer Ashton Gone Through Many Tragedies Before Meeting Tom Werner
Ashton did not always believe she would find love after a terrible tragedy.
A few days after their divorce, her ex-husband, well-known surgeon Rob Ashton, committed suicide.
Ashton said that she has been through many heartbreaks.
She stressed that she did not believe she would ever find love, that in many ways, suicide and the loss of a loved one made the problematic things even tougher to deal with.
She also said that meeting Werner felt very different for both of them, and he was compassionate from the start.
She continued by saying that Wener might both mend her wounds and fulfill her goals, People reported.
"I'm just feeling so excited to be married to Tom," says Ashton as they prepare for a romantic Caribbean honeymoon.
"Life really is so precious," she added.
Tom Werner is the head of the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Red Sox Foundation.
The foundation's mission is to improve the health, educational, and recreational possibilities for children, Veterans, families, and communities in need, per Hello Magazine.
