Florida Boy Allegedly Tried to Kill Mom as He Was Tired of Her Constant Nagging to Clean His Room
A 17-year-old Florida boy is being accused of first-degree attempted murder after he tried to kill his mom with a frying pan and stabbed her repeatedly with a pocket knife.
The Florida teenager said he attacked his mother as she was "constantly on his case about cleaning his room," according to the probable cause affidavit.
The teen was identified in the arrest report as Tobias "Toby" Jacob Brewer. He was arrested and is currently booked into juvenile detention on November 30 after allegedly attacking his mom.
Brewer's mother was listed in critical condition. Authorities found her and took a breath, then reportedly told law enforcement authorities that it was her son who did it.
Authorities responded after a woman whose son told her that "his friend Toby killed his mother."
Brewer's friend walked to Brewer's house after receiving multiple calls from him.

Brewer's friend arrived at their house and encountered another friend of Brewer's. The witness told authorities that he then heard "loud bangs coming from the rear of the residence."
Brewer's friend then walked back to the house and saw the suspect "standing over the victim holding a frying pan."
The witness told authorities that he heard the victim saying, "Toby stop."
Brewer then fled in his mother's car, with Brewer's friends following the suspect to his girlfriend's house, who is another teenager.
It was sometime later that Brewer led police on a chase, which ended with the suspect crashing in the woods.
Brewer's case has been transferred to adult court, according to Brevard County court records.
Brewer has been charged with attempted murder, criminal conspiracy to commit a capital felony, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and fleeing with disregard for the safety of persons or property.

One resident, Shelby Townley, said she was driving her daughter to school when she saw the car Brewer lose control and crash at a high rate of speed.
She said that the vehicle kept on going right into the bushes.
The Florida boy was captured when a Brevard Sheriff's Office SWAT team member radioed that they found the young couple in a ditch near an orange grove.
Police said noted that they were alerted on Tuesday about a missing girl who ran off with Brewer.
The police department said that Brewer's vehicle was spotted in Volusia County, with authorities trying to start a traffic stop, but Brewer drove off.
Police said that Brewer, his girlfriend, and another person were inside the vehicle at the time.
Volusia County deputies followed the vehicle into Brevard County before the suspect's vehicle crashed, according to police.
The three were then taken into custody after they ran from the vehicle, which started a search of the area by multiple law enforcement agencies.
Brewer's mother was airlifted to a medical center.
Brewer's next court appearance is on January 11, 2023.
