Actress Constance Marie is an American actress of Mexican descent. Her most notable roles are as Angie Lopez on "George Lopez" (2002-2007) and Marcela Quintanilla (Selena's mother) in the historical musical drama "Selena" (1997). In the ABC family drama "Switched at Birth," she played the role of Regina Vasquez (2011-2017).
Constance Marie made her debut as a dancer in the Tokyo production of Ryuichi Sakamoto's musical Cosmopolis at 19. After moving back to Los Angeles, she was discovered by David Bowie's dance choreographer at a bar, who hired her for his "Glass Spider" tour that same year.

As the season progresses, viewers learn that Regina discovered the mistake when the girls were three, but she did nothing about it out of fear of losing custody of both women.
