Plan for a "Snow White and the Huntsman" sequel continue, but Kristen Stewart will have little to nothing to do with it.

Frank Darabont, creator of the "Walking Dead," is rumored to be directing the sequel for Universal Pictures and Roth Films, according to TheWrap.

Darabont hasn't been officially offered the role, but he is expected to take over once it's time.

Kristen Stewart might have a cameo, but she won't be as prominent as she was in the first movie. The movie is supposed to emphasize Chris Hemsworth in his role as the Huntsman.

Hemsworth, also known as Thor in "The Avengers," has become more popular since he played the superhero. "Snow White and the Huntsman" was released in June 2012, the year after "Thor" and around when "The Avengers" was released.

The script has not been finalized.

The sequel may drop "Snow White" from its title so it can focus on the Hunstman.

Charlize Theron is expected to return to the film, which is expected to be released in 2016. She will reprise her role as the evil queen. At the end of the first movie, she was trapped in the mirror.

Rupert Sanders directed the first movie, which grossed about $400 million worldwide. He and Stewart were caught having an affair, which ended their relationships with their then-significant others.

No reason for Stewart's minimal role has been given. In 2012, it was rumored that she would not return and that the choices were to either focus on a Chris Hemsworth-fronted movie or to not have a sequel. That was quickly denied, Indie Wire noted.
