After being moved to Buffalo from Cincinnati Medical Center on Monday, Damar Hamlin is said to be in "good spirits" as he gets additional tests. The Buffalo Bills sent an update shortly after Hamlin's remark, confirming that he is receiving additional testing with the heart specialists at BGMC.

The latest Damar Hamlin updates arrived eight days after he fainted on the football field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals and went into cardiac arrest.

The Bills' safety was resuscitated on the field with CPR, and he was taken to CMC, where he remained in the intensive care unit for several days.

Although Hamlin's condition improved, the NFL postponed and canceled the Bills' game against the Bengals.

By midweek, Hamlin had made sufficient improvements to warrant being taken off the ventilator.

Hamlin's "neurological state and function is intact," his doctors said Thursday, noting that he had opened his eyes and was moving his hands and feet.

Since then, Hamlin has been active on social media, providing encouraging updates on his health and outlook.

His team won 35-23 over the New England Patriots on Sunday, and he was tweeting his support from the hospital both before and after the game.

'Madden' Video Game Will Remove CPR Celebration Following Damar Hamlin Injury

The "Madden" video game series will no longer include the "Madden CPR celebration" on touchdown.

After last week's situation with Damar Hamlin, TMZ Sports has confirmed the animation is being removed from EA Sports games.

The virtual end zone dance will be removed in the next few days as part of an update to "Madden NFL 23," a representative from the gaming giant said.

This year's touchdown celebration has been incredibly well-liked by gamers since it encouraged those who scored touchdowns to act as if they were in distress and receive CPR from their teammates' avatars.

Many, however, now find the animations insensitive and crass, especially given that Hamlin required the life-saving operations during Monday night's Bills-Bengals game.

Surprisingly, the scene in Cincinnati did not discourage actual NFL players from using the celebration on Sunday, when the Pittsburgh Steelers imitated CPR after a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns.

Steelers LB Alex Highsmith apologized for his part in the postgame antics on Monday, but it is unclear whether the NFL has spoken to or plans to speak with the players about the incident.

What Caused Damar Hamlin's Injury?

The Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals game from Monday night has been stopped because Bills safety Damar Hamlin passed out on the field.

Hamlin, 24, fell on his back right after tackling Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins in the open field in the first quarter of the Bills' game against the Bengals.

Hamlin got struck in the chest by Higgins, who was running upfield after catching a ball.

After the play, the Bills star got up immediately, but then he collapsed.

Within 10 seconds, trainers for the Bills team were taking care of Hamlin. Footage shows that an ambulance was on the field in less than five minutes and that CPR was done on Hamlin before he was taken to the hospital more than 15 minutes after he collapsed.
