How to Play Powerball Lottery?
Each ticket is worth only $2. The player can choose or opt to randomly receive five numbers between 1 and 69 for the white balls and one number between 1 and 26 for the red Powerball.
To win the Powerball jackpot, your numbers must match the five white balls and the red Powerball.
Powerball also offers eight more opportunities to win a prize across the game's non-jackpot tiers, depending on the number of balls matched.
Non-jackpot prizes are between $4 and $1 million, and a prize could go higher if you opt into "Powerplay" by paying an extra $1. Powerplay multiplies non-jackpot winning money by 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10.
The 10X Powerplay option is only available when the prize is $150 million or below. The Powerball game's second-tier "Match 5" prize is capped at $2 million for the Powerplay, according to USA Today.
Players have another chance to match their numbers after each Powerball drawing through the additional add-on feature called "Double Play," which s available in some jurisdictions for $1 per play.
During Monday night's drawing, the five white balls were 12, 31, 47, 58, 60, and the red Powerball was 23, according to SILIVE.
