After Republicans booted out Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee, New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, raged against the Republicans in a fiery speech accusing them of racism and hypocrisy.

In her speech, AOC pointed out that this was one of the post-9/11 legacies that are still prevalent today, as Rep. Omar was targeted because she was Muslim. The fiery Latina congresswoman then added, "There is nothing consistent with the Republican Party's continued attack except for the racism and incitement of violence against women of color in this body."

When the Democrats took over Congress in 2021, they booted controversial Republican congressmen like Arizona Representative Paul Gosar and Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from their committee assignments. Kevin McCarthy vowed revenge, and now that he is Speaker of the House, he had done so by booting Omar, according to the Daily Beast.

Paul Gosar Targets Ilhan Omar

Gosar is infamous for posting an anime-inspired clip of him killing AOC, as well as speaking at a notorious pro-Hitler event. He also promoted and appeared with White Nationalists. Meanwhile, Greene is known for espousing debunked conspiracy theories and violent rhetoric. Both are also known for their involvement in the January 6 Capitol Insurrection.

According to Yahoo! News, the Republicans booted Omar for her earlier comments that they claim have invoked antisemitic tropes. However, unlike Gosar and Greene, Omar has since apologized for her comments.

Gosar, known for his ties with White Nationalist groups, was one of the Republicans who led the charge in booting Omar off her committee assignment. He said the congresswoman "has expressed a deep hatred for Jewish people and Israel."

He claimed that the Minnesota Democrat "pursued a reckless and fundamentally anti-American agenda while in the United States House of Representatives," and added that she regularly engages with racists and condones racism.

One of Gosar's most well-known associates is notable White Supremacist Nick Fuentes, a noted antisemite and White nationalist. The Arizona Representative is known to attend many of Fuentes's events and was often a guest speaker at those events.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Hits Marjorie Taylor Greene for Her Jewish Space Laser Theory

As AOC pointed out the GOP's inconsistencies, she not only went after Gosar who has strong antisemitic and White nationalist ties, but also Marjorie Taylor Greene, who also has her own history of antisemitic rhetoric.

She pointed out that while Republicans targeted Omar for her supposed antisemitic remarks, one member of Congress who was elevated to some of the "highest committee assignments in this body" is known for pushing bonkers conspiracy theories about the Jewish people, including of course, the theory that Jewish space lasers caused the California Wild Fires.

According to Media Matters, before she became a congresswoman, Greene wrote a bizarre Facebook post that claimed that the California wildfires are caused by a beam from "space solar generators" owned by a prominent Jewish family.
