Elvis Presley's ex-wife Priscilla Presley and her granddaughter Riley Keough are reportedly no longer speaking amid an ongoing dispute over Lisa Marie Presley's will.

Lisa Marie, who died at 54 last January 12, changed her will in 2016 to remove her 77-year-old mother, Priscilla, and make her 33-year-old daughter Riley the executor, Daily Mail reported. Lisa Marie has three surviving children: Keough and 14-year-old twin daughters Harper Vivienne Ann and Finley Aaron Love.

Her son, Benjamin Keough, committed suicide in July 2020 after a long battle with drug addiction and depression. On Thursday, an insider told Entertainment Tonight that Priscilla is longer speaking to her granddaughter.

"Riley has been mourning the loss of her mother and is heartbroken to have to deal with a trust dispute with a family member," the source told the outlet.

The insider added that "Riley and Priscilla aren't communicating at this time but have been in communication through lawyers." The source said Priscilla was convinced that the "old documents had been forged" and "that she has a valid case" and will prevail in court.

The insider noted that both women are now "gearing up" for the court battle, even though Keough prefers to settle this dispute privately.

Priscilla Presley Wants to Remain a Co-Trustee For Lisa Marie Presley's Estate

The trust of the late Lisa Marie Presley currently names Riley Keough as a co-trustee. However, Priscilla Presley is legally challenging that. 

Lisa Marie had previously named her mother and former business manager Barry Siegel as co-trustees in 2010. However, a 2016 amendment removed the two as co-trustees and put the trust in the hands of her daughter and her late son Benjamin.

Late last month, Priscilla's lawyers filed a petition in Los Angeles questioning the "authenticity and validity" of the 2016 document. Priscilla's camp alleged that her daughter's signature on the 2016 amendment "appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature."

She also argued that her daughter's name had been spelled wrong and that the document was never notarized. In filing the petition, Priscilla reportedly wanted confirmation from the court that she would continue to be a trustee of Lisa Marie's estate.

It was unclear exactly how much money Lisa Marie left as the $100 million she reportedly inherited from her father disappeared due to bad investments and mismanagement.

However, the only child of Elvis Presley owned Graceland, the estate in Memphis that her father bought in 1957. Despite having no ownership or role in the company, Priscilla was reportedly being paid $900,000 a year by Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE).

EPE is a corporate entity formed by "The Elvis Presley Trust" to conduct business and manage its assets, including Graceland and worldwide licensing of Elvis-related products. EPE's major source of revenue is the Graceland operation.

A friend of Lisa Marie told The New York Post that Priscilla, who had been a longtime Elvis estate's trustee, failed to have her contract renewed by EPE in 2020. A spokesman for the Graceland estate previously told TODAY that Lisa Marie's three surviving children would inherit the Memphis property.

Lisa Marie Presley Would Be 'Pissed' at Priscilla Presley's Move, Say Friends

There is consensus among Lisa Marie Presley's friends that she would be "pissed" by her mother's attempt to take control of her estate. According to The New York Post's sources, Lisa Marie and her mother had not spoken in nearly eight years before the singer-songwriter's death.

"Lisa would be pissed! She would be so upset that Priscilla is doing this. Riley is an amazing trustee... and Lisa's youngest daughters are in the best of hands with her," a longtime friend of Lisa Marie told the outlet.

Another friend noted that Lisa Marie and Priscilla spoke to each other only when there was no option. The friend added that when the two attended the Golden Globes together last month, neither Priscilla nor Lisa Marie wanted to sit near each other.

"Lisa didn't want to have anything to do with her mom... At the Golden Globes, they were made to sit together by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association... Lisa didn't even go with Priscilla, Jerry Schilling [a longtime Elvis friend] was her chaperone. The HFP pushed [mother and daughter] together," the friend told The Post.
