One California elderly man has been reported to be missing in Mexico. He was identified as William "Dean" Trivett, 80, and was last seen on February 11.

He was in the town of Todos, Santos in Baja California. He was last seen driving his Chevy Silverado with a camper, according to a missing person poster being distributed by friends.

San Francisco Gate reported that his friend, Barnett English, raised the alarm when Trivett's dog, Bones, was found roaming around with his owner.

Trivett was living in Markleeville at the time of his disappearance and had also previously lived in San Diego, with several connections to the area.

English noted that Trivett would never "leave his dog behind," adding that the California elderly man's phone goes straight to voicemail.

The friend noted that for Trivett to be separated from his dog is "very, very concerning." English described his friend as a seasoned Baja traveler.

California Elderly Man Missing in Mexico

A flyer was released due to Trivett's disappearance from Mexico's State Search Commission for Baja California, as cited by ABC 10 News.

Trivett was reported to be last seen wearing blue denim pants, a long-sleeved checkered flannel shirt, and a dark-colored hat.

He was described as a white man with white and gray hair and a white mustache, standing five feet and seven inches tall, with blue eyes.

The search commission further described the elderly man with bushy eyebrows and skinny.

Trivett's friends are asking people to call the Mexican Search Commission at 612-138-1439 if they see Trivett. His friends are offering a $3,000 reward for information.

Trivett's friend, English, is the founder of the Joshua Tree Music Festival, which the former California resident frequently attended.

Trivett's search party has filed reports with Mexican officials and has also checked hospitals in the area.

U.S. Citizens in Mexico

In the last days of December 2022, one man was reported missing in Mexico after he was last seen domestically at CVG Airport, where he departed on December 22 for Zacatecas.

The man was identified as Jose Gutierrez and received his master's from Miami University. He was working for a Cincinnati-based firm as an architect before he was missing.

His family noted that Gutierrez was going to visit his fiancée, which was what he often did. The couple was supposed to be married in 2023.

Gutierrez's sister, Brandie Gutierrez, noted that her brother goes about three times per year in Mexico.

A Mexican agency responsible for the search for missing people confirmed that it is looking for Gutierrez.

Recently, a 15-year-old girl was believed to have crossed the border into Juarez, Mexico on Valentine's Day.

The girl was identified as Annette Uruchurtu and left Bowie High School, where she studies.

Uruchurtu was identified as having a dark mole on her right hand and wearing a dental brace. She also has long hair and brown eyes.

The 15-year-old girl was reported to be wearing black vinyl pants, a black blouse, and colored sneakers.
