Florida: Joe Biden Slammed for Border Crisis After Federal Judge Ruling
The Joe Biden parole that releases large numbers of migrants within the United States was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge in Florida on Wednesday. The judge criticized the government for making the border a "meaningless line in the sand."
Following a lawsuit filed by Florida, Judge T. Kent Wetherell determined that the administration's release of thousands of migrants into "Parole + ATD" under humanitarian parole violates federal law, according to Fox News.
The Biden administration has "effectively turned the Southwest Border into a meaningless line in the sand and little more than a speedbump for aliens flooding into the country," Wetherell wrote in a blistering opinion piece published on Wednesday.
Wetherell also ruled that the border's effectiveness in deterring illegal migrants had declined due to practices enacted by the Biden administration, such as capture and release.
"Today's ruling affirms what we have known all along, President Biden is responsible for the US border crisis, and his unlawful immigration policies make this country less safe," said Republican Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody following the ruling. He added that while a federal judge has now ordered Biden to do so, his administration must now take legal action to defend the American people by securing the border.

Joe Biden's Parole Has Released Over 100,000 Immigrants
The government cannot handle the latest influx of migrants because it does not have enough money or jail space, according to the Joe Biden administration.
The verdict on Wednesday has the potential to significantly expand the population of those confined to detention facilities, per Reuters.
Moody filed suit against the Department of Homeland Security in 2021, alleging that the Joe Biden Parole Plus Alternative to Incarceration policy was illegal under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
The complaint claims that due to the administration's policies, over 100,000 people were allowed to enter Florida, resulting in high costs for the provision of social services.
DHS may release migrants from detention "on a case-by-case basis for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit," according to federal immigration law.
As the administration considered the congestion of detention institutions a humanitarian issue, they claimed that the 2021 memo was an appropriate use of their discretion.
Wetherell concluded that the policy went against the law, which states that parole consideration must be handled individually.
Florida Taxpayers Shed Over $8 Billion Annually for Illegal Immigrants
A new cost analysis by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) says that long-term illegal immigration, made worse by the Joe Biden administration's two years of unprecedented US border crisis, now costs Florida taxpayers more than $8 billion a year, PR Newswire noted.
The annual cost to the federal, state, and municipal governments is estimated at $182 billion in the research titled The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers.
Florida taxpayers are on the hook for funding K-12 education, medical care, housing, and nutrition aid. Furthermore, Florida provides other pricey perks for illegal aliens, such as in-state tuition at public universities.
The main conclusions of The Economic Cost of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers are as follows:
- $5,972,788,206 will be spent on 1.19 million illegal aliens in Florida in 2022 for their benefits and services.
- It is projected that around 610,000 children born to illegal immigrants in the United States have cost the government an additional $2,066,534,316.
- At a total expenditure of $8,039,322,522, the cost per person is $5,040.
